NOTARY PUBLIC
A notary public is considered a public officer appointed by a state government. The primary job duty of a notary is to help prevent fraud by witnessing the signing of documents and verifying their authenticity. The mobile notary travels to the customer’s home/business, or a mutually accepted venue, to perform notary acts whereas a notary public has a public office to notarize important documents. (GTG Notary Services does not operate out of a public office, all notary acts are performed at customer’s venue or online).
NOTARY SIGNING AGENT (NSA)
A signing agent is a notary public, who works with the loan documents, obtaining and notarizing these documents with the purpose of closing the loan transactions. While a notary public verifies the identities of signatories and acknowledges signatures, an NSA possesses a deeper understanding of loan documents and has been trained to provide unbiased explanations of each document’s purpose.
REMOTE ONLINE NOTORIZATION (RON)
A RON is officially certified by the state – in this case Florida – to complete online notarizations that range from general notary work to loan transactions managed by a signing agent. Customers can sign and have documents notarized from ANYWHERE in the United States using their computers, laptops, tablets, or smart phones. (Signers do not have to reside in the state of Florida).
